About

About Sean Kopen
I help marketing teams and businesses improve visibility, efficiency, and growth through SEO, AI-enabled workflows, and project leadership.
Over 15 Years Experience
Marketing, operations and digital since 2007. My journey in marketing started in copywriting and digital strategy before evolving into creative ops and AI.
Imagination and Curiosity
If I had to name my working superpowers, it would definitely be imagination and curiosity. I see things differently and dig deep to learn for myself how the gear work.
Scale
I’ve worked with small businesses and startups, and billion dollar global brands. My approach has been to find solutions that fit the budgets and ambitions of the companies I support.
Operating Philosophy
Points of Leverage
Focus your time and team on the things that matter most. If you don’t know what that is, I can help! Time is always at a premium and there should always be more things to do than capacity. Focus and achieve results.
Replace Yourself
Solve a problem, simplify the process, than hand it off to someone. My work has always been about making things better so I can move on the next problem, not sit in the same routine every day.
Stay Curious
Marketing has always been a dynamic industry, not just in tech and tools, but in audience, attention and culture. Every day I’m trying something new, staying informed and experimenting with the latest.
Industry Perspective
Quality Should Matter
The industry is built to have more work than there is time, people or budget. It often means sacrificing quality to deliver on time. Excellence matters, and creative ops often means finding a way to achieve excellence in impossible constratins.
AI Illusions
There was a rush to implement AI into the industry, and it’s resulted in a lot of slop and disappointed people. AI should be seen a tool to elevate creative and extend it, not replace creativity.
Knowledge Transfer
Teams and entire organizations seems to pivot the moment key people come and go. So much experience and intelligence is lost when this happens. I’m surprised to see teams starting over from scratch or struggling with fundamentals.
Personal Philosophy
Make Time
There’ll always be an excuse to not spend time with friends and family, and before you know it, you’ve spread apart. Make time and defend time, it’ll go faster than you expect.
Earn It
Reward yourself when you earn something important. Set goals. Achieve them. Then recognize yourself for it. Put it on the wall and challenge yourself to earn it.
Always Grow
I decided early on I didn’t want to hid mid-life and be the person scared of technology. I’ve embraced tech, AI and new ways, doing everything I can to be current and capable.
